The hoist-type gate lifting device is specifically designed for operating emergency gates. Emergency gates are used to protect generating units or steel pipes. They are normally suspended above the opening and can quickly cut off the water flow in the event of an accident involving the generator, water pump, or steel pipe, thereby preventing the accident from escalating. The closing time of the emergency gate must meet the protection requirements for the unit and steel pipe, generally requiring the gate lifting device to close the emergency gate within 2 minutes. At the same time, to prevent damage to the bottom edge of the gate and the sill due to violent impact, the emergency hoist should be equipped with a speed-limiting device that restricts the descent speed of the gate to within 5 m/min when it approaches the sill. However, there are no restrictions on the speed during the descent process, as long as it does not cause damage to the components of the gate lifting device.
