Emulsifier OP-10 is generally a mixture of surfactants with mineral oils and fats, but it can also be dissolved in water. It removes oil and grease stains from fabrics by breaking them down into very fine particles. Once emulsified in water, the oil and grease can be removed through dilution.

Emulsifiers help remove mineral oils or grease adhered to clothing during the washing process. When mixed with an appropriate amount of alkali and detergent, it can be used to remove gasoline. The combination of alkali and oleophilic surfactants breaks down the small beads of oil and grease into very fine particles. Afterwards, they are enveloped and form a milky layer on their surface. In this way, after emulsification and dissolution into water, the oil and grease are removed through dilution.
