Non-Full-Size Crib CPC Testing Standards CPSIA + ASTM F406
1. Non-full-size cribs covered by this policy
Non-full-size cribs are designed to provide sleeping accommodations for infants. This product is suitable for use in homes, child care facilities, family child care homes, places of public accommodation, travel, or other uses. A non-full-size crib must meet at least one of the following dimensional criteria, or both:
- An interior length greater than 139.7 cm (55 inches) or less than 126.3 cm (49 3/4 inches)
- An interior width greater than 77.7 cm (30 5/8 inches) or less than 64.3 cm (25 3/8 inches)
This policy covers, but is not limited to, non-full-size cribs that are foldable or portable, crib pens, specialty cribs, oversized cribs, and undersized cribs. Please note that this policy does not apply to play yards. For information on play yard requirements, go to Play Yards.
2. Amazon requires that all non-full-size cribs must be tested and comply with the following specific regulations or standards:
All of the following:
Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (lead, phthalates); and
Section 14(a)(5) of the Consumer Product Safety Act (tracking label); and
16 CFR Part 1130 (Requirements for Consumer Registration of Durable Infant or Toddler Products); and
Any one of the following:
ASTM F406-19 (Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Non-Full-Size Baby Cribs and Play Yards); or
16 CFR Part 1220 (Safety Standard for Non-Full-Size Cribs)
