The Agilent 8924C CDMA Mobile Station Test Set provides a set of primary measurement items to verify the performance of dual-mode CDMA mobile stations operating in the 500 to 1000 MHz frequency band. With the 83236BPCS interface, the 8924C also adds CDMA testing capability for the 1700 to 2000 MHz frequency band. As a calibrated high-performance CDMA base station, the 8924C not only tests the parametric characteristics of CDMA phones but also examines various functional aspects of phone performance.
The Agilent 8924C has full testing capabilities for AMPS, NAMPS, EAMPS, TACS, NTACS, ETACS, and JTACS, allowing you to perform both analog and CDMA digital mobile station measurements with the same instrument, thereby saving space, cost, and training expenses.
For complete call processing verification, the Agilent 8924C supports both mobile station and base station originated call connections and disconnections. Once a phone call is established, using the 8924C's voice loopback mode makes it very simple to test all functions of the CDMA mobile station. For testing various protocol modes, the 8924C offers six user-selectable protocol stacks: IS-95, IS-95A-TSB-74, J-STD-008, ARIB T53, and KOREAN PCS. The 8924C also supports several service options, including 9600 BPS and 14400 BPS traffic channel configurations.
