Octanol itself is also used as a fragrance, blending with floral scents such as rose and lily, and as a soap fragrance. This product is approved as an edible flavoring agent under China's GB2760-86 regulations. It is mainly used to formulate flavors for coconut, pineapple, peach, chocolate, and citrus-type essences.
