Additional Information
Main Applications
1. Plastics Industry (Core Application)
PVC Plasticizer:
Used to produce soft PVC products (such as films, artificial leather, hoses, and shoe sole materials), imparting flexibility to the material; can partially replace Dioctyl Phthalate (DOP) to reduce costs;
When used in PVC floor leather and wallpapers, it improves the low-temperature resistance and weatherability of the products.
Other Resin Modification:
As a plasticizer for nitrocellulose, used in the manufacture of coatings, inks, and celluloid products to improve film toughness;
Used for the plasticization of ethyl cellulose and polystyrene resins to improve processing performance.
2. Rubber and Adhesives
Rubber Softener:
Added to natural rubber or synthetic rubber (such as SBR, chloroprene rubber) to reduce compound hardness, improve elasticity and flex resistance, used in the manufacture of seals and shock absorbers;
Adhesive Plasticizer:
Improves the flexibility and bond strength of adhesives (such as polyvinyl acetate glue, acrylate glue), preventing hardening and cracking of the adhesive layer.
3. Coatings and Inks
Coating Film-forming Agent:
Added to nitrocellulose lacquers and alkyd resin paints to promote film leveling, prevent cracking, and improve gloss and adhesion;
Ink Plasticizer:
Used in gravure printing inks to improve fluidity and drying properties, avoiding brittleness and cracking of printed products.
4. Other Applications
Fragrance Fixative: Acts as a fixative in food flavorings and cosmetic fragrances to prolong scent longevity;
Lubricating Oil Additive: Acts as a thickener and pour point depressant for lubricating oils, improving low-temperature performance;
Pesticide Carrier: Acts as a solvent and emulsifier for pesticide emulsifiable concentrates, improving the dispersibility of active ingredients. Main Applications
