Triethylene glycol dimethyl ether: Molecular formula: C₈H₁₈O₄; Colorless transparent liquid, packaged in barrels. Miscible with water and most organic solvents; Flammable liquid; Mainly used as a solvent for dyes, resins, paints, etc. It can serve as a high-boiling-point solvent in organic synthesis reactions and, in some cases, can replace  DMF and DMSO solvents. It is a stable non-protonic polar solvent and can also be used as a desulfurization and decarbonization agent in the synthesis of ammonia or natural gas.
