Product Introduction
The aerobic biological fluidized bed process uses three-dimensional hollow carriers as aerobic biological media. The carriers have a hollow structure and remain suspended in water during normal operation. Anaerobic bacteria grow inside the carriers, enabling denitrification for nitrogen removal; aerobic bacteria grow on the exterior, removing organic matter. Throughout the treatment process, both nitrification and denitrification occur simultaneously.
Features
Made of high-quality copolymer material, it does not degrade after prolonged immersion in wastewater and is non-toxic to microorganisms, outperforming materials such as polyvinyl chloride.
Unique structure: the hollow carrier consists of three concentric hollow circles, each with one internal rib and 36 external ribs. Developed through extensive research, it is manufactured in a single molding process.
High specific surface area: while conventional microbial carriers have a specific surface area of 90–180, the hollow carrier achieves up to 600, with a double specific surface area exceeding 860. This high specific surface area supports a high biomass concentration per unit volume, enabling shorter hydraulic retention times.
High microbial activity: the microbial biofilm on the carrier surface remains in a highly active logarithmic growth phase due to fluidized collisions and aeration scouring, resulting in high treatment efficiency.
The hollow carrier is buoyant, easy to replace, and has a long service life.
Strong capability for denitrification and organic matter decomposition, effectively removing ammonia nitrogen.
